GenTIC is offering a new job position linked to the Programme I Investigate. We are seeking a research assistant for our research line on gender factors linked to the motivation for choosing studies and professions in science and technology (STEM). The candidate’s activities are part of the HORIGESTEM research project, funded by the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation, the State Research Agency and ERDF, and led by Milagros Sáinz as principal investigator. The HORIGESTEM project aims to verify the importance of promoting girls’ scientific and technological vocations through activities based on female role models.

 

The person selected will be awarded a full-time contract (38.5 hours per week) until June 2025.

 

Tasks:

  • Search for literature on this scientific field.
  • Design of research projects on the subject.
  • Analysis of results.
  • Writing reports and scientific publications.
  • Participation in meetings with state and local institutions interested in increasing women’s presence and participation in scientific and technological fields.

Required:

  • Degree in Psychology, Psychopedagogy, Anthropology, Education or Sociology, Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications or Electronics.
  • Good level written and spoken English.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Motivation to develop research with young people.
