PhD Candidate at GenTIC from 2021 to 2023
Hello, I am Mar Martínez. I have been a PhD student in the Health and Psychology Research program at the Gender and ICT research group (GenTIC) at Universitat Oberta de Catalunya. I got my degree in Psychology at the University of Valencia and my master’s degree in Neuroscience at the University of Barcelona.
Right now, my main research interest is to explore the effect of gender discrimination on STEM work environments in women’s mental health. Previously I did research exploring brain connectivity at the University of Barcelona, where I worked as a research assistant and providing methodological support of quantitative data analysis for different research groups as a freelancer.
My strengths are the methodological knowledge of quantitative methodology and the high motivation and passion I put into all I do.
