The Gender & ICT research group is participating in the IN3 Open Workshop for Young Researchers in the Technical and Social Sciences 2019 to be held on 10 July. The workshop is organized by different IN3 groups as an open event where PhD students from diverse disciplines at UOC and other universities can communicate their research activities to other colleagues, including PhD students, senior researchers and professors.
María del Carmen Gallego Arias, Natalia Garrido and Marlon Xavier, PhD Candidates at GenTIC, are presenting their ongoing research on the gender roles and stereotypes about males’ and females’ STEM* subjects in the training programs of pre-service teachers (María del Carmen Gallego Arias); the relationship between social economy and gender from a social network perspective (Natalia Garrido), and the persistence, dropout and time-factor in fully online higher education (Marlon Xavier).
The director of GenTIC, Milagros Sáinz, is offering in the afternoon a communication on gender inequalities and women’s promotion in research and science.
