The director of GenTIC, Milagros Sáinz, and Miruna Bivol, GenTIC’s PhD Candidate, have participated in the statistical course “Modeling change: A gentle introduction to cross-lagged and latent growth curve approach” held on September, 26 and 27 in Zagreb, Croatia. This statistical course has been organised by the Croatian Social Science Data Archive, at the University of Zagreb Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, within the Horizon 2020 COORDINATE project. The course aims to provide practical knowledge on analysing longitudinal data, focusing on longitudinal structural equation modelling, cross-lagged mediation analysis, unconditional and conditional latent growth curve analysis.

The event is open to academic researchers from PhD students to full professors, policy practitioners, and other researchers or analysts working in the EU countries and associated states. Professor Milagros Sáinz and Miruna Bivol have been selected to take part in the course out of a pool of applicants. All selected participants have been granted with a bursary of 500 Euros for covering travel and accommodation expenses.

The COORDINATE project involves 22 partners from 14 countries working together to improve access to data about children’s wellbeing with a particular interest in longitudinal data. The director of GenTIC, Milagros Sáinz, participates in some of the research activities organized by the research team of this project across Europe.
