Whether it be “big” or “small”, data is being recorded everywhere at anytime. Social network analysis (SNA) has been at the forefront of dealing with this torrent of data, specifically regarding our social relations. Gender and ICT is organising an international discussion that brings together experts working on the interface between social justice and social networks, in order to reflect on the promises and perils of ubiquitous data.

In this public symposium we will reflect on research ethics, data privacy and transparency, all issues underlying SNA and essential for concerns of social justice.
