RESEARCH STUDY ON DATA AND FEMINICIDE, FROM A COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF EXPERIENCES OF STATE AND CIVIL SOCIETY FEMINICIDE OBSERVATORIES IN EUROPE AND LATIN AMERICA
This project aims to conduct research on data and feminicide through a comparative analysis of experiences from governmental and civil society feminicide observatories in Europe and Latin America. Using various case studies, the research delves into existing information systems and explores the characterization of feminicide at both governmental and non-governmental and community levels.
The project includes the following research activities:
- Mapping and comparative analysis of existing initiatives and practices on feminicide data in the European and Latin American contexts.
- Interviews with experts and members of feminicide observatories involved in data collection and analysis.
- Preparation of a results report with proposals and recommendations to improve the systems for collecting, standardizing, and producing data on femicides, contributing to facilitating collaboration between public administrations, the non-governmental sector, and organized civil society to eradicate violence against women.
