How can indigenous knowledge and Western technologies engage in a dialogue to promote environmental and social justice? GenTIC is pleased to invite you to reflect on these questions at the seminar Indigenous Women Interconnecting Knowledge: Bodies, Territories, and Technologies for Life.
When: 17 June 2026
Time: 15:30 h to 17:00 h
Where: UOC Campus – Building C (room C0.6, Rambla del Poblenou, 154 Barcelona) and online (link will be provided after registration)
Languages: Spanish and Portuguese.
Ana María Noguera Durán, Marie Curie Postdoctoral Fellow at GenTIC, will present at this event the outcomes of the INDIWOMINT project, which over the past two years has focused on the knowledge systems and practices of Amazonian indigenous women, exploring how to build transnational alliances for climate change mitigation and the preservation of life. Edina Shanenawa, an indigenous leader of the Shanenawa people in the Brazilian Amazon, will join us online to share her insights on the body-territory relationship and the defense of life.
