The Open Workshop on Analytics@Sports&Health was organised on November, 11-12 by the Spanish Network on Data Analytics and New Technologies in Sport and Health (05/UPR/19), funded by the Spanish Ministry of Culture and Sport and sponsored by Movistar Centre.
The event gathered relevant academics and experts from health and sports organisations who discussed the possibilities of applying data science and information technologies to the fields of sports and health, and the associated challenges regarding data protection and security, gender equality and social equity.
This video summarizes the aims and topics addressed during the Workshop and includes interviews with the director of GenTIC, Milagros Sáinz, David Megías (director of the Internet Interdisciplinary Institute – IN3), Montser Bellver (physician specialised in sports medicine at the High Performance Center (CAR) in Sant Gugat), Gerard Esteva (president of the Union of Sports Federations of Catalonia), David López (director of Fhios Smart Knowledge), Anna Bach (professor at the UOC Faculty of Health Sciences) and Elena Milla (physician specialized in ophthalmology at Hospital Clinic).
