The Gender and ICT research group has been accepted in the Inter-University Women and Gender Studies Institute (iiEDG). This organisation is composed by different research groups in the Catalan universities. The initiative to create an inter-university institute that would bring together all, or most, of the research groups working on women and gender studies was born in the early 1990s, and its aim was essentially the recognition and institutionalisation of studies on women and gender in the university sphere.
