The Gender and ICT research group tackles the effects of Internet and ICT (Information and Communication Technology) on different aspects of the human activity from an interdisciplinary approach. We analyze the gender relations involved in the design, development, and use of scientific and technological innovations, with a particular focus on ICTs and STEM.
In this seminar we will present the outcomes of some of our main research lines and current projects, such us the gender dynamics of virtual work, the assessment of the effectiveness of gender equality policies, the development of gender roles and stereotypes about ICT and STEM occupations, and the impacts of gender diversity in innovation and research team performance.
