Jörg Müller has presented the projects GenPORT and GEDII in the international Workshop on Science and Innovation held in Mexico on 15-16 May 2017. The workshop was organized by the European Commission through its Technical Assistance Information Exchange program (TAIEX) and the National Council of Science and Technology of Mexico (Conacyt), in collaboration with the GENDERACTION Initiative.
The workshop was aimed at people interested in scientific research and assessment and pursued the objective of sharing gender equality practices among research organisms and funding agencies in different regions. Experts from Mexico, France, Germany and Spain moderated the sessions and discussed strategies to foster the inclusion of the gender dimension in scientific research projects, in research teams’ training and in evaluation committees. With the purpose to allow the development of new synergies among science and technology agencies, Conacyt officials and other Latin American organizations interested in including and promoting the gender dimension in all stages of scientific research were also convened.
