We are delighted to welcome you to our new Gender and ICT blog. Gender equality in science and technology is assuming enormous and renewed importance in many places, particularly those needing to build routes of the economic crisis based on knowledge production and innovation. It is a good time to be remaking the case for the maximum possible use of women’s and men’s potential.
We have relaunched the blog to coincide with the launch of our new four-year EU FP7 project on gender equality in science, entitled ‘GenPORT: an internet portal for sharing knowledge and inspiring collaborative action on gender and science’. You can read more about this and our other projects by going to our Projects page.
On this blog you will find news about developments in gender, science, technology and innovation in Europe and beyond. You will also be able to read about and comment on our research activities, read and download papers and publications, and learn about events on these topics run by us and by colleagues throughout the world. Do let us know if there is anything that you would like to have included, and we will do so.
